  • Publishing: London: Printed by Henry Baldwin, for Charles Dilly, 1785
  • Edition: First edition (second state). Octavo. viii, 524, (1)pp, bound in full calf. VG-. Contains half-title and errata/announcement. I5, Q7, U6 are in the second state; E3, E4, M4 are cancels as described in Pottle 57. Measurements match the copy in the British Museum as recorded by Pottle. Bound in full calf, quite possibly the original binding. Rebacked in leather with titles applied. Rebacking is worn and rubbed, most noticeably on the hinges. Binding is firm and tight. Leaves are lightly toned with an occasional spot of foxing. Overall a very good copy. [Pottle 57] [Rothschild 458]
