'Sacred to the Memory of Phineas Stone, Died Oct 11th, 1796, Aged 27', in silk stitchwork with silver bullion detailing, and watercolor on silk, the wife and two young children in mourning, under a willow tree, distant town on a hill, from Abby Wright's Girls School in South Hadley, Mass, with additional history on back, housed in the original deep cove gold frame, with an oval eglomise mat on the original old glass, OS: 31" x 26", SS: 19" x 15- 1/2", break in sky, minor soiling.
