Lot 0245 Details

Description

James Walker Tufts (American, 1835-1902), late 19th century. Victorian cased glass brides bowl basket, with ruffled crimped edge decorated to the interior interior pink to light pink with blue enameled flowers, the exterior in white with blue and white enameled flowers sprays emanating from brown branches, the bowl set in an aesthetic footed frame molded as leafy branches issuing cherry clusters. Bowl apparently unmarked. Frame stamped to the underside "JAMES W. TUFTS BOSTON WARRANTED QUADRUPLE PLATE 231". Approximate overall height 8.75". width10.25".
