Design: Kämmer & Reinhardt (1886-1958) – German doll manufacturer from Waltershausen in Thuringia
Execution: Simon & Halbig - Thuringian producer of porcelain heads and dolls, established in Gräfenhain in 1939
Embossed on the neck with ‘K (star) R’ and ‘Simon & Halbig’, as well as numbered ‘117n’
Brown sleep eyes, chin with dimples and open mouth with one front teeth
Authentic human hair wig
The doll wears a green spotted dress, black open work stockings, black shoes, a cap and a pearl necklace
Underneath a white undershirt, petticoat and underpants

Lovely expressive porcelain head doll ‘My Darling’ by Kämmer & Reinhardt, which was made in cooperation by the company Simon & Halbig

Condition:

The doll is in good, age-related condition and shows partial traces of age and wear. The painting and the shows are rubbed in places. One large crack can be found on the left arm. The lashes are missing. The hair is lose. The Box shoes demages The height measures c. 63 cm.

Porcelain company Simon & Halbig

The porcelain company Simon & Halbig was founded 1839 and in 1869 they started producing bisque porcelain heads in Gräfenhain. They not only produced for their own dolls but also for companies such as Cuno & Otto Dressel, Heinrich Handwerck, Jumeau, Adolf Hüls, Franz Schmidt and Fleischmann & Bloede. 1920 Simon & Halbig additionally took over the company Kämmer & Reinhard.
