Rare wall map of the United States, Central America, and the top portion of South America, with large insets of the Mid-Western states and the Northeastern states. The whole is surrounded by a wide decorative border with vignettes of portraits and scenes, there are sailing ships and steamers on the oceans, and a large depiction of the U.S. Capitol. There are no copies of this map listed in OCLC/WorldCat, though there are two copies of a similar map published in 1856 listed.
