Description
A late Victorian gold banded agate pendant, circa 1880. The oval banded agate cabochon, within a similarly-set surround. Length 4.3cms. Weight 16.6gms.
Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Principal banded agate with two drill-holes, deficient central panel. Deficient surmount loop, jump ring bent. Reverse with deep recess, glazed panel reverse probably deficient. Banded agate to the surround graduate in brown, lightening to the base. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
