Ming Dynasty gilt bronze Buddha of Shiva Figure Riding a Bird, and of the Period (1368-1644).
Casted in the image of Bodhisattvas Buddha manifestation of Shiva, multi headed and arms, formed various meaningful gestures. seated at full lotus position upon a bird on an oval lotus throne pedestal. Adorned with many attractive jewels, and silks.
Crafted out of bronze and gilt, this Buddha statue exudes a magnificent aura and an enticing visual appeal. This gilt bronze piece is the result of superb craftsmanship.
The back of Buddha shows an rectangular cut-out, a precisely fitting bronze comes with the sculpture.
Mark on the throne, seven script -KaiShu- characters in relief, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
Additional mark on the reverse, four script -KaiShu- characters.
