(pair) Ladies 14kt yellow gold tourmaline and diamond clip on estate earrings, comprising: (2) round cut green tourmaline stones, approx. 7mm diam.; accented by (16) 0.02ct round cut diamonds; presented in circular swirl mounting, marked on back, 1"l, 21.6 grams (inclusive of all material) *Provenance: From the estate of Jo Anne Christian (Texas, 1936-2015), a lifelong collector of friends, paintings, jewelry, books and other beautiful things, was known for her love of color and her support for the arts. As one of the Three J's--the three women who founded Austin's Long Center for the Performing Arts--Mrs. Christian made an indelible mark on Texas' Capital City. Jo Anne Christian was the widow of George E. Christian Jr. (Texas, 1927-2002), press secretary to President Lyndon Baines Johnson. She was an attorney, an avid historian, a voracious reader and an inveterate theatergoer.
