Description
ENGLISH PORCELAIN TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a Worcester cushion-form serving dish, painted in green camaieu with floral sprays and sprigs under gilt rims, and two waste bowls by Thomas Wolfe, formerly known as Factory Z, painted with silver luster and Chinoiserie mythical beasts in roundels, in red and blue, with silver leaves scattered over the surfaces, centering a beast in the well of each. Unmarked. Circa 1810-1820. Dish 7 1/2" SQ, bowls 5" and 6 1/4" D.
Provenance: From a Virginia estate collection.
Condition
The first in very good condition, with minor gilding wear to rim and a small area of roughness gilded over in manufacture; the waste bowls are in moderate condition, both with short hairlines and with some wear and staining.
