Fine and Rare Diminutive Glazed Redware Pitcher, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid pitcher with flared rim and applied handle, the surface decorated with reddish-brown manganese sponging over a yellowish ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed "JOHN BELL" at shoulder. Excellent size and color. A small, 3/8" colored chip to rim on reverse. A few other lesser rim nicks and minor rim wear. H 4 1/2".
