Complete set of the two volumes of Petronius's Satyricon, published in Amsterdam in 1756. Based on the manuscripts found by Du Pin during the Siege of Belgrade (1688). Latin and French language on facing pages. This is the Augumentation to the Counter-Critique of Petronius ( Franois Nodot) - Petrone, latin et franois; traduction entire Augmente de la Contre-critique de Petrone. Exceptional gravure illustrations. Both have fold-out engravings in the center pages. Brown leather-bound. Measurements: Approx. 6.75" x 4"
