A selection of four late Victorian and early 20th

Lot 0339 Details

Description
A selection of four late Victorian and early 20th century gold gem-set rings. To include an 18ct gold ruby, synthetic ruby and diamond five-stone ring, a 9ct gold hardstone cameo ring, together with two 18ct gold diamond rings. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Two with hallmarks for 18ct gold. Total weight 10.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general wear. Some bands slight out of shape. Band to the ruby and diamond ring split. Centre stone to first ring is a replacement synthetic ruby. Rubies fairly well matched for colour. Rubies medium pinkish-red, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions. Rubies in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Diamonds well matched to three of the rings. Diamonds fairly bright. Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen to most with magnification. Diamonds in mostly good condition with minor abrasions, some show minor nicks and nibbles. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. Ring sizes L to P. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma. For your convenience we have applied this notice to lots which contain rubies or jadeite originating in Burma, or those of indeterminate origin. Please be advised that inability of a purchaser to import any such item into the US or elsewhere will not constitute grounds for non-payment or cancellation of the sale. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
