Description
A superb museum copy of a Meritorious Order of the German Eagle with Swords medal. This award was created by Adolf Hitler to be given to foreign diplomats who showed sympathy towards the ideals of Nazism. The medal is made of heavy, strong material. It is expertly crafted with precise attention to detail that can be best appreciated under close inspection. The white enamel is very well applied, with sharp edges and a smooth surface. The rear is fitted with a horizontal broad pin with "C" clasp and 180 degree lie, which is marked with "114/22". The medal measures 95 mm from tip to tip of the starburst. In very good to near excellent condition. From the collection of Dr. J. Diggs.
