AN OLD BELIEVERS RUSSIAN ICON of the Kazan Mother of God with the Guardian Angel and Saints, circa 1650-1800. The entire image is overlaid with an elaborately engraved silver-gilt riza with shaded enamel haloes, hallmarked Moscow circa 1899-1908 and with Cyrillic maker's mark of Igor Chepyatov. 14.25 inches x 12.25 inches (36.2 cm x 31 cm).
