Three Small Chinese Gilt Bronze Buddhist Figures, probably Tang Dynasty (618-907), first standing before a mandorla, reticulated domed base, corner-leg platform, h. 2 7/8 in; second and third standing before finialed mandorlas, h. 2 in. and 1 7/8 in., wood stands, overall h. 2 1/2 in. and 2 1/4 in.; together with wood figure with metalwork mandorla, h. 4 in., wood stand, overall h. 4 5/8 in. (4 pcs.) Provenance: accompanied by a copy of a Sydney L. Moss, London, invoice, dated Sept. 6, 1976, which probably relates to the first figure in this lot; New Orleans Estate.
