Description
ENGLISH A. STEVENSON POTTERY PEARLWARE "VIEW ON THE WAY TO LAKE GEORGE" PATTERN PLATE, the lobed rim and lightly-incurvate shoulder transfer-printed in medium blue with a dentil border over a broad band of flowers and leaves slipping into the cavetto, the face enclosing the view of a mounted rider on a horse walking through a road between timber houses, the wooded landscape in the rear. Impressed and printed marks to underside. Circa 1825. 8 3/4" D.



Condition
Excellent condition, a firing flaw near the center of the face as manufactured.
