Description
A late Victorian 15ct gold diamond and split pearl hinged bangle. The old-cut diamond, within a split pearl crescent and decorative panel, to the split pearl sides with beaded edges. Inner diameter 5.9cms. Weight 10.3gms. With associated case.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and light scratches in keeping with age. Light dents to the back panel. Hinged back panel feels slightly loose, but secure. Replacement split pearls, differ slightly in hue and appearance. Two have chips to the surface of the nacre. One claw tip deficient to the diamond setting. Diamond fairly bright. Estimated diamond weight 0.08ct. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamond in good condition with minor abrasion/nicks. Stamped 15ct.
