Hunter, John. Natural History of Human Teeth... [with]: A Practical Treatise of the Diseases of the Teeth, Intended as a Supplement to the Natural History of Those Parts. London: J. Johnson, 1778. First complete edition, second edition of the first part, first edition of the second part. 2 vols. in 1, 4to, contemp. calf; rubbed, worn & broken, most of spine gone. 16 engraved copper plates, each with a printed explanatory leaf. Complete with both 1/2 titles, 1/2 title of vol. 1 deatched, occasionally chipped & slightly dampstained at edges. Old manuscript annotations on title-page, old ink library shelf numbers on title-page, with late 19th-century small printed duplicate label, imprint date in Arabic numerals supplied in faint red ink below printed date. No loss of text on title page. Light foxing & occasional minor discoloration to edges of text leaves. Plates generally clean.
