Approximately 139 leaves. Most with five-line staves of music and text beneath, but also a few with seven lines of stave. Numerous decorated initials in color in addition to black-and-white. Red highlights used extensively (rubrication). 83x57.cm. (32¾x22½"). Original binding of calf over wooden boards, with metal corner protectors on both panels.



Chant from the Divinum Officium Vespera, Psalmi (evening prayer): "O admirabile commercium. Creator generis humani..."  Notable for its original binding and lavish initials. Due to the size of this lot extra shipping charges will apply.

Condition
Binding worn and scratched; appears to be missing a preliminary page, varying degrees of yellowing to the hair side of the leaves, otherwise contents in very good condition, generally clean, with ample margins; very good.
