Description
ENGLISH CERAMIC PLATES & TEAPOTS, MID-LATE 19TH C., FIVE PIECES, INCLUDING PRATT & WEDGWOOD:Including 1 gold banded teapot, not marked; 1 F. & R. Pratt & Co., Fenton plate with transfer decorated well and wide pink border, Dia.8 1/2"; 1 Wedgwood "Corinthia" black transfer plate, Dia.7 1/2". Together with 1 child's alphabet plate with red transfer well, Dia.6 1/4", and 1 red transfer teapot with nautilus and floral motifs, probably Longport, H.6 1/2".
Condition
The Pratt plate shows wear to the pink border; the alphabet plate with cracks and crazing; the first teapot with a very small nick to the spout and crazing; the Longport teapot with a 3" spider crack at the side. Chs
