Lot 0015 Details
We are very pleased to offer the first lot of classic English PRE-VICTORIAN & Victorian Flow Blue Semi Porcelain, some Museum Quality. This offering includes two wonderful Romantic Staffordshire plates, with the first likely from the latter 1880s. The pattern has 3 lowing cows beneath a shade tree, with Gazebos and a manor house in the background. Our little Shepherd plate features a small boy playing his flute, and watching his flock with his lunch basket close by. The cow scenic plate measures 10 x 10 inches, and the shepherd plate is 8.5 x 8.5 inches with the total lot weight of 1# 10 oz. The large plate is in excellent condition, while the small has a long bu stable hairline and some crazing. We have searched the approximate 1,800 photo pages of Petra Williams & Marguerite R. Webber, and were unable to match either of these stunning Flow Blue plates.
