Description
The lot features a Oglala Sioux Native American Indian tightly beaded tobacco pipe bag. This piece was done at the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakato from the early part of the originazation of the reservationin circa 1890's. The bag is in excellent condition showing American flags in 1800's glass trade seed beads. This has a fully fringed bottom on Idian brain tanned deer skin and tin cones across the bottom. Thepiece measures 29.25" long and 5.5" wide overall with the fringe being 14". This is displayed in a custom solid wood box with a glass top and brass latches measures 12.25"x36" and 3" thick.
