Description

A VERY FINE CONTINENTAL SILVER, GILT &ENAMELED ART DECO VANITY CASE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY. Probably Austria, of squared form with slightly domed hinged lid depicting a silhouetted dancer in black enamel outlined in gilt beading with silver accents on a radiating engine turned ground under translucent amethyst colored enamel within a border of carved lappets. Stamped “.935” and with unidentified makers mark, 3.5 x 3.25 x .75 inches.
