The Porsche 911 2.8 RSR could not have had a better race debut, winning the 1973 Daytona 24hrs virtually straight from the factory. Peter Gregg and Hurley Haywood took overall victory following the demise of the prototypes. It was equally as dominant in the European GT Championship.
