An undated archaistic sheet bronze rectangular panel with raised rim and octofoil recess to the centre; the central motif four silver-inlaid sphinxes with interlaced wings within a band of silver-inlaid text; the walls with opposed pairs of silver-inlaid birds; bands of silver-inlaid calligraphic text to the edges and rim. 1.5 kg, 30.5 cm (12"). Acquired on the London art market in the 1980's.
