Description
VICTORIAN MAJOLICA ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE INCLUDING A TEAPOT AND COVER AND SUGAR AND COVER, "BAMBOO AND BIRD", both of hexagonal, rectangular form with pointed ends, on four geometric feet, the bodies molded to resemble a bunch of bamboo branches, the teapot handle and spout, and the to knops to covers with faux bamboo treatment, molded to the sides in low relief with birds on blades of grass, both with brown rope-twist borders, glazed in celadon green, brown; blue and pink, unmarked. Late 19th Century. 6 3/4" H., the taller.

Provenance: From an Illinois private collection.
Condition
Moderate condition, both with visible crazing; the teapot with a light crack near the left side of spout; the flange to the sugar cover chipped to one corner.
