A late Victorian hardstone cameo ring. Of oval-shape outline, the hardstone carved to depict a lady in profile, to the replacement mid Victorian 18ct gold plain band. Band with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1871. Weight 2.1gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Minor surface wear in keeping with general age. Soft solder seen to each end of the band. One section of the shoulder detail is split in two. Bruising to band. Several re-sizing solder lines visible. The band is older than the cameo and they have been joined together at some point. Ring size O 1/2.
