possibly Tang or Song dynasty, molded pottery figure of a man adorned in robes and hairpiece, remnants of red and black pigment throughout, 29 x 15 x 9 in. [Asian Ceramics]

Note: Accompanied by copy of thermoluminescence analysis report from Oxford Authentication dated April 11, 2005 stating the estimated date of last firing was "between 900 and 1500 years ago."

Provenance: According to consignor notes, purchased at The European Fine Art Fair in Maastricht, Netherlands; The Estate of Peter H. Tillou, Litchfield, Connecticut

surface dirt and accretion, scattered small edge chips, especially around base, scattered areas of loss to pigment
