Description
Flemish, Southern Lowlands, after Peter Paul Rubens, enameled and stained glass window depicting the Nativity, with Mary presenting the Christi Child to the Magi, the details finely enameled, with leading, mounted in a light box. 21" x 23" (window) 32" x 33" x 6 1/2" (light box). Provenance: Purchased from Sotheby's, New York, 1/24/2002. Condition: 1/4" loss to bottom left border section, hairline cracks to area surrounding face of Virgin and two Magi, multiple hairline craks and restoration to kneeling figure on lower right side and three standing figures with torches, overall window is in stable condition as presented, leading with corrosion.
