An antique bronze model of a cat sitting on a potty crafted from cold painted Vienna bronze. The technique of cold painting was developed in Vienna, Austria during the 19th century, and involves the application of several layers of heavy, lead based paint to the model after the bronze casting is complete. It was often used in the production of whimsical and humorous bronze models, which today are highly sought after collectors items.
