Item Details

Description

An imposing English mahogany extension dining table
third quarter 19th century
On casters, with six leaves and a leaf cabinet.
height 29in (73.5cm); width closed 60 1/4in (153cm); width extended 190in (483cm); depth 63in (160cm)

Condition

Structurally sound. General marks, nicks, scratches, cracking, areas of overpainted repair. Top faded overall - with spotty coloring as visible in catalogue photos. Extension mechanism rebuilt with later struts to aid in draw extension. Five leaves of the same size, one slightly narrower. With original leaf case.
