Antique German Patent Washable Papier Mache Doll

Item Details

Description

This pretty girl appears to be a Patent Washable papier mache doll with paperweight eyes and hand painted features. Blond wig appears original and per the accompanying note, she is wearing her original chemise. The rest of her clothing appears to be in the style of the period, but is newer, however still very vintage. She has bisque arms and composition legs and feet that are not jointed. Cloth body and stands approx. 13.5" tall

Condition

Please examine photos closely.. All features visible and appear in original paint, but painted face is flaking and a bit dirty. Arms are replacements and not in proportion with the body. Feet and legs are dirty, but could clean up well. Clothing is mostly clean with storage staining on front and yellowing from age. She will be beautiful if restored.
