c. 1860 Civil War Period, Print titled, "BRIG. GEN. A.E. BURNSIDE," Printed by G.P. Putnam, New York, Extremely Fine.
This c. 1860 Civil War Era Print measures 9.25" x 6" being an Engraving of Brigadier General A.E. Burnside, likely clipped from an undated publication. Very light dampstaining, hardly noticeable. Burnside was the Union major general who allowed Lee's escape at Antietam and, as head of the Army of the Potomac, saw it crushed at Fredericksburg.
