Description
A large hand drawn and colored copy of the original plan of Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania laid out in June and July 1772 and surveyed by John Lukens. With a notation and seal signed by J. Simpson Africa, Secretary of Internal Affairs, reading "In testimony that the above is a copy of the original remaining on file in the Department of Internal Affairs of Pennsylvania, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of said Pennsylvania to be affixed at Harrisburg, this eighteenth day of March, A.D., 1884." In wood frame. MEASUREMENTS: 24" x 33-1/2". Overall with frame 27-1/2" x 37-1/2".
Condition
Areas of toning overall and minor rippling with damp stain to lower left corner.
