Description
This is a charming 26" Antique Bisque head/Composition body doll, made in Germany.
This is not the usual antique German doll you can find on internet.
It is very hard to find a doll made by this German doll company.
The doll is made by C.M. BERGMANN WALTERSHAUSEN.
Back of the neck is marked, "Made in Germany - C.M. BERGMANN - A.10.M.".
She has a gorgeous open mouth with teeth showing and delicately brushed upper and lower eyelashes.
She has large, dark blue eyes, The eyes are set, they don't open and close.
The doll has a composition body, arms and legs, and bisque head.
There are no visible cracks or damage on the bisque head.
The composition body is in good condition with some discoloration and paint peeling.
The wig needs some adjusting/cleaning/styling.
She wears a white cotton dress with lace and white socks and black shoes.
I would consider that her clothes are vintage rather than antique.
There could be some small rips and stains, consistent with the age of the old antique and vintage clothes
The doll is in overall good antique condition.
Simply gorgeous!
