Margaret Tafoya (1904-2001) - Santa Clara Black Jar with Carved Design c. 1970-80s, Description/Condition: This pottery is in near excellent condition; with very minor surface wear. Signed by the artist on the bottom. Provenance: Acquired from Frances Hamilton White Collection (1933-2021). Frances Hamilton White was known for her exquisite taste in Native American Art and spent a lifetime carefully curating, adding only the best examples to her collection. Her extensive painting collection was recently sold at Christie's.The owner purchased this item at Andrea Fisher Fine Pottery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
