Provenance: Received by the current owner in 1969 as a wedding gift.
Note condition: overall good condition, with no glaze crazing, surface scratches, or hairline cracks. There is a very small amount of in-painting visible under black light on the woman’s right-hand ear and surrounding hair, as well as on the handle. No additional apparent restoration done to the piece. Two small 1/4 inch chips at the lower edge of the pitcher at the base – one on the front-right side and another on the rear-left side. Some surface soiling throughout, particularly on the back of the piece and around the rim. There is a split on the interior of the spout that occurred as an in-process firing flaw (see photos).
