Post-Revolutionary War to Civil War
Decorative circa 1840 19th Century Silvered Pewter Teapot
c. 1840 Mid 19th Century, Ornate Silvered Pewter Teapot with Maker's Marks, Choice Very Fine.
This 19th century, ornately designed, decorative Pewter and Silvered Teapot in nice original condition with only light actual wear from use. We believe pewter was likely used due to the hefty weight of this teapot. The surface has a natural brilliant silver patina with sharp maker's marks and serial number punched on the bottom. In total measuring 6 inches high x 4.8 inches wide and 10 inches long from spout to handle. The top has a wonderful bone decoration providing a lovely grip for opening the lid that matches the metal top lid design below and is adhered with a screw hidden on the underside of the lid. Meant for display, it can still be of actual use.
