Item DetailsTitle: Art deco brass fur clip c 1930s Size/Dimensions: 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” x 3/8” thick. Additional Information: Fantastic, artistic, very deco gold finish mask fur clip. It’s a small sculpture.
Heavy gold finish fur clip with blue diamond shape glass jewel in the mask forehead and stylized feathers flair out and curve to surround the mask. The features of the face are deep and sculptural and the feathers also have a chiseled finish. There is a bar with fine chains that dangle from a ring on the back to give a sense of movement as you move and a fine touch. There is a forked set of pins that lift on the back to attach to cloth or a fur.
I could find no jewelery or artist marks.
MEASUREMENTS:
2 ¼” x 2 ¼” x 3/8” thick. Weighs 1.8 oz
CONDITION:
The face of the pin is very clean. It still has a nice gold look. The back does show wear and some discoloration. One edge of the metal flange holding the jewel in looks pinched and discolored. Still has a very good look.
A work of art from the deco era. The piece shines and glitters with deep blue against gold.
