Description
This is an extremely rare vintage suit from Ogilvy's department store in Montreal. Looks like it's an Ogilvy's exclusive made in Switzerland by Camp Creations. Hard to date it precisely,but likely 1970s or later 1960s. Jacket has a shawl collar and closes with two rhinestone buttons. Matching maxi skirt has an A-line shape and closes with a back zipper. The unusual fabric is 93% wool and 7% "metallic fibre" (lurex, which is aluminum based), so it's got a lot of gold speckles. Although it looks almost black in the photos, it is actually navy blue (see label photo for best color). Fully lined. No size labels, but based on the measurements it seems to be a modern size 10 or 12.
JACKET MEASUREMENTS
- Shoulder width is 16.5"
- Chest is 41"
- Waist is 34.5"
- Sleeve length is 23"
- Length is 28.5" down center back excluding collar.
SKIRT MEASUREMENTS
- Waist is 30"
- Hips are 44" at about 8" below waistband.
- Length is 43" including waistband.
CONDITION
Excellent with no significant condition issues.
