Both dolls are all composition with molded and painted faces, with flange necks that string over the torso with a slight hump at the top to allow the heads to swivel without having an actual socket into the torso. Both bodies are bent limb with joints at the shoulders and the hips. The lower legs are painted white to simulate white stockings, however both have sewn-over cloth shoes, which are firmly affixed to the feet. The silk clothing is all original and very elaborate. Both have long braided queues, extending downward from underneath the sewn-on bonnets with pom-poms. Both appear to be in very good condition. Although very similar in style, the one with the green and pink pom-poms on the hat appears to have two extra dimples alongside mouth, with the having slightly more of an opening in its modeling.
