Colorful elaborately costumed dolls, the girl with colors aligned with regional clothing from the Italian island of Sardinia, with black headscarf, orange, brown and yellow all felt costume and brown shoes. Accompanying her is a a Lenci felt rooster, and other than the red on the head and neck, the colors are all identical to the costume of the girl. The boy is most likely from one of the Turolian regions, he has a scarf over his head, big hoop earrings, black felt hat with feathers, military-style leggings from knee to ankles, with a wide-eyed expression and an open mouth. This mouth may at one time have contained either a cigar or a pipe, as traditionally, these mouths are open/closed, whereas this one has a distinct opening.
