Description
A Near Eastern bronze figurine of a horse, c. 1000 - 600 BC, of stylized form with suspension lop at back, the oval base pierced with four holes which fastened the votive piece to a base or other object. H: 1 1/8 in (2.8cm). Nicely patinated with a deep green/black patina. Ex estate of Seward Kennedy, New York. Mr. Kennedy worked for decades as a lawyer for the Mobil Corporation, and acquired his collection throughout decades of travel beginning in the 1950's.
