Late Qing Period/early Republic Period; Shanghai or Canton
Three stamped hallmarks to underside, one identifying "Wang Hing" and the other possibly an artist's name
The tall baluster vase with branch-form double-handles and relief cloisonne design of flowering prunus branches, peonies, a song bird, and a peacock against a dimpled ground to the shoulder line, the neck decorated in relief prunus branches and flying songbirds, on a carved wood stand
25" H x 11" Dia.
139.47 oz. troy approximately
Condition
Overall good condition with tarnishing and light scratches commensurate with age. Light foliage remnants to interior. Scattered minor indentations, a 1.5" indentation to shoulder, and a 3" area of uneven surface, possibly a reformed indentation, with accompanying chipped losses to enamel in surrounding area and possible restorations to petals of yellow flower. Minor pinholing/recesses and scattered chips to the enamel. Wood stand with scattered scuffs and indentations. Weight does not include wood stand.
