AMERICAN FOLK ART CUT-OUT SHEET-IRON ROOSTER WEATHERVANE, stylized flat double-sided form with pronounced spurs, retaining an early, possibly original, painted surface. Currently displayed on a modern wooden stand. Second half 19th century. 21 1/2" HOA, 16 1/4" LOA.
Very good overall condition with minor expected wear, weathering, and discoloration.
Provenance: The collection of the late Theodore "Ted" and Alvina Breckel, Oley, PA and Winnetka, IL.
