Lot 0015 Details

Description
Tanto in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon Paper)
Signature: Sakai Ikkansai Shigemasa Horidosaku (Mukansa)
Showa 63 n and Shoto
The blade is very good polished.
Habaki: Single silver Habaki.
Blade length: 29.8 cm or 11.73 inches.
Sori: 0.2 cm or 0.07 in.Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 2.79 cm or 1.09 inch.
Kasane: 0.71 cm or 0.27 inch.
Era: Modern Times.
Shape: wide and thick Tanto.
There are engravings on both sides of the sheet.
Jigane: Ko-Itame Hada Well wire with Jinie Confirm.
The Jigane is Beautiful
Hamon: Nie Deki, Gunome Midare And Choji Midare
In Ha, there are Sunagashi And Kinsuji.
Boshi is a round Hakikake style.
Special Feature: Sakai Ikkansai Shigemasa was born in Shizuoka prefecture and moved to Saitama prefecture.
His name is Sakai Kan and received many awards such as
5 times Yushu prize, 4 times Doryokusyo prize 3 times Nyusen prize.
He studied under the Kasama Okimasa from Taisho 10th and
founded his own company at Showa 7. Finally he became Mukansa sword maker.
During wartime he made swords at Nihonto Tanrenkai.
This sword is Soden bizen (converted Soshu school and Bizen school sword)
active hamon and work.
This Ikkansai was made on 1988 March 16.
Sakai Ikkansai Shigemasa was born at Shizuoka prefecture and moved to Saitama prefecture.
His name is Sakai Kan and got a lot of prizes like the Yushu(superiority) prize 5 times,
Doryokusyo (nice job) prize 3 times Nyusen(Winning) prize 4 times.
He studied under Kasama Okimasa
from 1921 and create his own business at Showa 1932.
Finally, he became Mukansa sword maker.
