h. 121", w. 36", d. 18"
Condition
In overall very good condition. The surface retains most of its original gilt with moderate rubbing and wear. There are some shrinkage cracks and some spots of inpainting. The inpainting is more abundant on the base. There is a shrinkage line, or repaired break, across the panel on the crest. It appears to be missing some ribbon carving from its top. Mirror plate is crisp and clear. It appears to be a later replacement. The marble top on the base exhibits some wear and light stains but no evidence of breaks or repairs. The base is sturdy and stable. There is a loss to the molding at the bottom edge of the frieze, about 3/8" high and 3/4" long. The legs exhibit some nicks and wear. Stretchers slightly loose at the joint with the legs, but functional.
