    1762, by J. B. Homann & Homann Heirs, from "Atlas Homannianus Mathematico-Historice Delineatus", copperplate engraved, original hand color. Nuremberg, Germany. 24 x 20 1/2". Authenticity Guaranteed. An impressive image of the solar system with a sun burst. Zodiac signs all around the edge in a circle. The course of planets, as well as eclipse formations. In the lower right is the goddess of astronomy Urania. She shows the Copernicus system. A map on lower left shows California as a island, multiple cherubs examining scientific instruments. A Magnificent chart packed with astronomical information Based on work by Dopplemayr. The center crease effects the paper somewhat in the middle otherwise in fine condition.
