Lot 0656 Details

Description
In 1960, a Black man from Knoxville murdered his wife and wound up in the long term prison system. While there, he took up wood working. Today, a convicted murderer would not be handed a wood chisel and allowed to turn anything. There is a round tray out of what appears to be walnut, 6" diameter, 1/2" tall, a teapot with applied handle in walnut measuring some 5" from spout tip to handle and 3" tall, 4 walnut goblets measuring some1 1/4" tall and wide. An interesting child's tea set.
Condition
Age split on the side of the tray and possible damage to the teapot spout, otherwise normal wear and tear from children playing.
